Technical Committee (TC)

The Technical Committee oversees the professional conduct and development of Architects, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors. It monitors their activities, conducts registration interviews, ensures proper deployment, and enforces ethical standards. The committee certifies academic qualifications, administers board exams, and runs apprenticeship and capacity-building programs. It organizes CPD events, seminars, and workshops, manages board publications, and advises on technical and professional matters. Additionally, it handles misconduct cases and imposes disciplinary actions where necessary.

The Technical Committee oversees the professional conduct and development of Architects, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors. It monitors their activities, conducts registration interviews, ensures proper deployment, and enforces ethical standards. The committee certifies academic qualifications, administers board exams, and runs apprenticeship and capacity-building programs. Additionally, it handles misconduct cases and imposes disciplinary actions where necessary.
  • i. Monitor professional activities of Architects, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and consulting firms; ii. Conduct professional interviews for candidates applying for Registration; iii. Ascertain deployment of registered Architects, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors to perform their duties; iv. Advise the Board on matters relating to technical affairs of the Board; v. Ensure compliance of Code of Conduct and ethics for professional practice; vi. Certify academic awards; vii. Administer Board’s examinations. viii. Establish operationally and later coordinate the Architects, Engineers and Quantity surveyors apprenticeship for graduates. ix. Organize continuing professional development programmes for Architects, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors of all categories; x. Organize seminars, workshops and conferences; xi. Coordinate competence building programmes for consulting Firms; xii. Oversee the Board’s publications; xiii. Advise the Board on matters relating to professional development affairs of the Board xiv. Deal with cases related to professional misconduct and unethical practices for both professional and non-professionals. xv. Impose disciplinary actions for those professionals who acts beyond the ethics.
