Functions of the Board as provided under Section 4 of the ACT Subject to the provisions of this Act and any regulations made thereunder the functions of the Board shall be-
To consider and decide on the applications for registration
To enter and inspect sites where construction, installation, erection, alteration, renovation, maintenance, processing, or manufacturing works are pushed through.
To maintain and keep a register of Architects, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors, including consultants or firms providing architectural, engineering or quantity surveying services.
To monitor and regulate the conduct and activities executed by Architects, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors together with Consultants of the related field and their Consulting Firms.
To promote and maintain professional conduct and integrity of the architectural, engineering and quantity surveying professions.
To organize and coordinate summit meetings, seminar, conference and workshop related with the field of Architectural, Engineering and Quantity Surveying.
To collaborate with local architectural, engineering and quantity surveying training institutions, professional association and other organizations in matters related to the field.
To impose penalties on architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, persons, employers, firms and consulting firms found guilty of professional misconduct for contravening any.
